Oncology Lake Success
Tatyana Gavrilova, MD, is a hematologist-oncologist who specializes in the treatment of lymphoma. She completed her medical education at the Drexel University College of Medicine, internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Medical Center and clinical immunology training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Gavrilova completed her hematology-oncology fellowship at the National Institutes of Health with the goal of translating knowledge of immunology principles to the development of targeted therapies for lymphoid malignancies. Dr. Gavrilova's approach to cancer treatment is rooted in helping her patients navigate their journeys by providing them with expert medical care and access to clinical trials that offer timely, novel investigative therapies for some of the most challenging diagnoses. Importantly, Dr. Gavrilova also knows that the delivery of such treatments needs to take place within a healthcare network that prioritizes personalized, patient-oriented care. Cancer is always an unexpected diagnosis that brings immense uncertainty into a person's life, and every patient's journey is unique, says Dr. Gavrilova. My priority is to guide patients through this challenging time with expert, compassionate care within a medical network that shares my patient-centered values and priorities.
